Abandoned Disabled Puppy Rescued from Dumpster Finds Loving Family for Christmas
A tiny disabled terrier puppy named Dennis was found abandoned in a dumpster in South Oxfordshire, England. Deaf, half-blind, and weighing less than four pounds, Dennis was rushed to a rescue center where he received urgent care and gentle handling.
The Blue Cross team adapted their approach, using vibrations and gentle taps to communicate with Dennis, who was too scared of a regular bath and struggled to focus on the people around him.
Placed in foster care, Dennis learned to navigate his new environment and gradually gained confidence. His resilience and playful spirit soon shone through.
Just in time for Christmas, Dennis found a loving forever home in Derbyshire, ready to start a joyful new chapter with his adoptive family.

Sammy Davis Jr. Born, A Legend of Stage, Screen, and Showmanship
100 years ago today, Sammy Davis Jr. was born. A natural entertainer from age 3, Davis became one of the most versatile performers of the 20th century, a singer, dancer, actor, drummer, mimic, and comedian whose talent lit up Broadway, Hollywood, and Las Vegas. He earned a Tony nomination for Golden Boy, joined The Rat Pack alongside Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, and became a staple of American entertainment with his hit variety program The Sammy Davis Jr. Show. His signature single, The Candy Man, reached No. 1 in 1972 and helped cement his enduring legacy.
Davis was known for both brilliance and wit. When asked about his golf handicap, he quipped, âIâm a one-eyed Negro whoâs Jewish.â Though his career soared, his health did not; years of smoking led to the throat cancer that took his life at 64. Today, he remains a symbol of boundary-breaking artistry, incomparable mimicry, and tap-dancing mastery.

ANSWER
B) Seeking the lowest price for energy for consumers and encouraging competition
Uruguay achieved 99% clean energy by prioritizing economic factorsâremoving fossil fuel subsidies, opening up energy contracts to competition, and awarding contracts based on cost rather than emissions targets. This approach attracted investment, reduced costs, and created jobs, showing that economic incentives can drive a successful renewable energy transition.
